An Aquatic Macroinvertebrate and Stream Ecology Field Workshop

Join City of Longmont staff for an evening in and along Saint Vrain Creek at Button Rock Preserve to dive into stream ecology! Learn how to evaluate biological stream health, collect and identify aquatic macroinvertebrates, and better understand ecosystem function within our local watershed. Whether you like fly fishing and want to know more about what they eat, want to investigate ecosystem science as a career path, or just want to get outside with an experienced field biologist, this program is a great introduction field course.

Further details will be sent out the day before the event.

We strive to make our events accessible to everyone. For accommodation requests (e.g., language interpretation, ASL, wheelchair access), please contact post.volunteers@longmontcolorado.gov at least two weeks before the event to allow time for processing.
